Vanara is now Vana Veera. To be released in theatres on January 1, the rural action drama with a mythological theme stars Avinash Thiruveedhula as the hero.

Since the movie has sensitive themes like caste and politics at its centre, the CBFC found the title Vanara inappropriate. They asked the makers to change the title. "We respect their decision, but such objections should have been raised earlier. We have complete confidence in our content and are sure that we are giving the audience a hit film," the male lead added. The sudden title change necessitates the total support of the media. He thanked actor Kiran Abbavaram for sharing the trailer via social media to support the team.

Avinash feels bad that a couple of important artists who have worked on the movie haven't even shared its promotional assets on social media. "After being paid lakhs in remuneration, they are not participating in promotions. Is it because I am an outsider?" he asked.

Producer Rajesh Danda attended today's trailer launch event as a guest. He vouched for the movie's story-telling prowess and its visuals. "Avinash fulfilled his father’s dream by becoming a hero, and not just that - he also became a director and made this film. Producer Shanthanu did not hesitate to spend money and made this film on a grand scale," he added.

Producer Shanthanu Pathi thanked actress Simran Chaudhary for completely supporting the movie. "Our film is a complete family entertainer with all the elements audiences expect. When you watch it on screen, it will feel like a big film, not a small-budget one," he added.

Simran, on her part, described Vana Veera as a complete family entertainer with elements like fun, thrills and mystery in good proportion.

The trailer begins with divine visuals, with the narrator saying, "There is no righteousness without victory. There is no war without an army." Vanara Sena is introduced as a dharmic force that transcends narrow identities. The element of a missing bike and the male lead joining a political party to trace it are shown. Screenwriter Kona Venkat has a role. Shree Nandu's character insults the male lead on the basis of his caste identity. Produced by Asian Cinemas, Silver Screen Cinemas LLP, and Shanthanu Pathi, Vana Veera has music by Vivek Sagar.
