Mowgli, starring Roshan Kanakala and Sagar Mhadolkar as the lead pair, is heading to OTT. It's going to debut on OTT on January 1st on ETV Win.
Released in theatres a day after Balakrishna's Akhanda 2, Mowgli was a washout. Bandi Saroj Kumar played the chief antagonist. The film came to be panned for being outdated in terms of its template and story elements.
Director Sandeep Raaj of Colour Photo fame is the director. "I designed the female lead's character that way to convey the message that love doesn't need language. Everyone will connect with the hero and heroine. In my opinion, the more innocent the hero is, the stronger he appears. This story has absolutely no connection to the Mowgli stories you have known as children and adolescents. The first half is lighter-veined and has a comedy streak," the director said before the movie's release.
