Press Conference: Peter Frawley to head Accor Group in AP

Mr. Peter Frawley appointed as the General Manager Delegate, Accor Hotels, Andhra Pradesh

3rd November 2012 Hyderabad, India: Accor Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter Frawley as the General Manager Delegate for Accor Hotels, Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Frawley joins Accor Group in Andhra Pradesh with more than 30 years of experience in the travel & hospitality industry. As a General Manager Delegate he will be responsible for the overall vision and future direction of all the properties of Accor in Andhra Pradesh including Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and HICC, Novotel Hyderabad Airport, Mercure- Abids, & Novotel Vishakapatnam Varun Beach. His role and responsibilities will be to ensure efficient and effective operations in all areas of hotel management specially department goals, budget and financial planning for the hotels.

Mr. Frawley started his career with Sheraton Hotels in 1982. With his sheer dedication & commitment he worked his way up to the level of General Manager. After a successful stint at Sheraton Hotels he joined Hotel Royal Holiday Inn Crown Plaza as the General Manager in Singapore. In 1993 he joined CDL Hotels International Singapore and worked there as a Senior Vice President and was managing assets for 10 hotels of the group. Having travelled the world and after being associated with the best brands in the hospitality sector Mr. Frawley was then working as the Group General Manager with Bin Haider Hospitality Dubai U.A.E before joining Accor Group in India.

Mr. Frawley specializes in large Scale Multi Style Operations with focus on Product Alignment & Strategic Planning. He has an active interest in asset management including portfolio growth and management contract negotiations. Throughout his career, his people management abilities have made him proficient in heading multi-cultural teams across brands. He is extremely focused on work and has been awarded the GM of the year twice during his career.
Mr. Frawley has done his degree of Bachelor of Business in Marketing from La Trobe University. He did his MBA from the prestigious Macquarie Graduate School of Management (Macquarie University Sydney). He also holds a Diploma of Corporate Governance from Australian Institute of Company Directors.

When he’s not working he plays Golf & Tennis or travels to the coastal areas for Scuba Diving. He holds an Unrestricted Pilot’s License for Flying & an Instructors License in Gliding. He’s visited India a couple of times, but this is his first time living here. Eager to travel and explore India’s rich and vibrant cultures during his tenure with us.
